SOLD FOR: $3000
4/22/20 - This is a mint Colt Mark IV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match in the original, matching box. The pistol looks virtually untouched, and dates to 1979 by serial. There's maybe a tiny hint of muzzle wear from shifting in the box, but it's pretty much perfect otherwise. Comes with the original styrofoam liner and basic Colt manual/paperwork. Box is numbered to the pistol and shows. Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match.45 ACP.Mfg. 1982. SOLD Description: Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match fitted with a 5 inch National Match barrel, adjustable rear sight, patridge front sight, checkered walnut grips, serrated flat main spring housin, serrated front stap, is blue finished, and chambered in.45 ACP. I have a few Colt 1911's with the National Match Barrel: 1) This is a Colt Gold Cup Match from 2012 (bought unfired-but not anymore): 2) This is a Colt Gold Cup Trophy from 1999/2000 (bought unfired and now stays in my car). I'd say well over 1500 rounds thru it. 3) This is a Colt 70 replica. I own a Series 80 SS Gold Cup, serial no. According to Colt, it was shipped in 1986. So, your serial number SN07893 would have been produced sometime in 1986. The two-piece black stocks, with the 150th Anniversary medallions also mark it as a 1986 gun. You can call Colt, and they can confirm the date.
